A Palace on the Fairways

The Ritz-Carlton Rabat opened in autumn 2024, and it’s the brand’s first hotel in Morocco. It sits on the edge of the capital in a huge estate of oak forest, palm groves and landscaped gardens, right next to Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. For golfers, that’s the main draw. The club’s three Robert Trent Jones courses cover 45 holes, and the famous Red Course is one of the most respected tests in Africa.

This is a hotel that leans into grandeur. The building is styled as a modern Moroccan palace, with Arab-Andalusian design, carved tilework and a striking domed lobby ceiling. It’s opulent, but not overbearing, and the setting keeps it feeling private and peaceful.

What you’ll find:

117 rooms and suites: 100 rooms and 17 suites, all with a private terrace facing the gardens or the pool. The top-end Royal Suite is 180 square metres.

Rabat-Salé Airport (RBA): around 30 minutes by car
Royal Golf Dar Es Salam: about 1km, roughly an 11-minute walk or a quick buggy or car ride
Rabat city centre and train stations: around 20–25 minutes by car
Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas: a short drive, so easy to fit in on a non-golf day
Nearest beach: about 17km, roughly 30 minutes by car
