All inclusive is the most popular choice for families and it’s easy to see why. With meals, drinks and snacks included, you’re not worrying about feeding the kids every five minutes or keeping track of what everyone’s spent. It also makes budgeting straightforward because almost everything is covered upfront. Half board works well too if you’d prefer to eat out some evenings, and self catering or aparthotel options suit families who like the flexibility of cooking for themselves. At most resorts, yes. Many have par three courses, practice areas or junior academies where younger golfers can play without needing to go on the main course. Some courses welcome juniors on the full layout at certain times of day, usually the afternoon, provided they can keep up with the pace of play. Age and handicap restrictions vary, so we’ll check the specific rules for each course and let you know what’s possible before you book. It’s a brilliant way to introduce kids to the game in a relaxed setting.

That’s completely normal and it’s what the resort facilities are for. The hotels we recommend for family golf holidays all have plenty to keep non golfing children occupied, from swimming pools and water parks to kids’ clubs, sports courts and beach activities. Many of the kids’ clubs run structured programmes throughout the day, so your children are entertained and supervised while the adults are on the course. We’ll always check what’s available for the age range of your kids before recommending a resort.

The accommodation cost goes up because you’ll typically need a family room or suite rather than a standard double, and flights for three, four or five people obviously add to the total. But the golf element usually stays the same, and all inclusive boards can actually represent very good value for families because the kids’ meals and drinks are covered in the price. We’ll always be transparent about costs and can adjust the package to fit your budget, whether that’s upgrading the hotel and cutting a round of golf, or keeping accommodation simple and spending more on the courses.
