Marrakech Golf With All-Inclusive Comfort

Set in the Palmeraie area on the outskirts of Marrakech, this is a large, well-run resort designed for easy holidays rather than boutique luxury. Low-rise buildings are spread through gardens and palm trees, giving it space and a laid-back feel, and the all-inclusive setup keeps things simple after a day on the course.

Golf is centred around the nearby Palmeraie Golf Club, just a short transfer from the hotel. The course layout moves through desert-style terrain lined with palms, with wide fairways in places but plenty of bunkering and water to keep you thinking. It’s playable for mid-handicappers but still interesting for better golfers, especially on approach shots where accuracy matters more than power. Mountain backdrops on clear days add to the setting, and the dry climate means generally firm, fast conditions.

Rooms are modern and comfortable, with balconies or terraces, and there’s a good choice of buffet and à la carte dining. Pools, a spa, sports facilities and evening entertainment give non-golfers plenty to do, while the city centre, souks and restaurants of Marrakech are an easy taxi ride away.

Expect generally good year-round playing conditions, with firm fairways and quick greens typical of Marrakech. The course is friendly off the tee but asks questions into the greens, so it suits a broad range of handicaps. Service at the resort is organised and used to golf groups, and transfers to the club are straightforward. There’s one main golf club nearby rather than multiple on site, so rounds tend to be at the same venue, but the setting and consistency work well for relaxed golf weeks.

The overall atmosphere is easygoing and sociable rather than exclusive.
