The hotel is new and feels it. Rooms are modern and soundproofed, and connecting rooms are available for groups and families. Alongside the 434 rooms and suites there are serviced apartments with one to three bedrooms, a living room and a full kitchen, which suit a fourball sharing. Spread across several towers, the hotel has space to spare, and each tower has its own gym. For food and drink, The Copperhead is an upscale gastropub and the obvious place for a drink after a round, and Bella Bocca serves Italian, so most evenings can be spent on site if that suits.
Days tend to follow an easy pattern. Golf comes first, at a different course each morning, with no changing hotels mid-trip. Afternoons are for the pool bar or a taxi across the water to old Dubai, with its souks, abra boats and wind-tower houses. This side of the city is quieter after dark than the Marina, which helps with early tee times.

Why Stay at the Marriott Marquis Dubai Creek?
Marriott Marquis Dubai Creek works for golfers because it puts four very different courses within reach of a base minutes from the airport. Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club is the local one. It has hosted the Dubai Desert Classic twice, its sail-shaped clubhouse is a city landmark, and the closing holes run tight along the water. At Arabian Ranches the fairways are framed by open desert, and a wayward drive is played from the sand. Dubai Hills feels closer to parkland, with Downtown’s towers on the horizon for most of the round. The Montgomerie plays more like a links, with big, rolling greens and water on a good number of holes. Together they show most of what golf in Dubai has to offer.
The location also shows a different side of the city. Across the water are the souks, abra boats and wind-tower houses of old Dubai, a short taxi ride away and a good way to spend a free afternoon. The serviced apartments make the hotel a practical choice for groups of four who would rather share a living room than meet in a lobby.
There are trade-offs. Three of the four courses are across the city, so those transfers are longer than from a Marina base, particularly at rush hour. This is not a beach hotel, and the shuttle to the coast takes some planning. Nightlife nearby is quieter too. For golfers who want a short airport run, a famous course close at hand and a modern five-star to come back to, it is a strong choice.
