Beachfront Base on Palm West Beach

Few hotels in Dubai get a sunset like this one. Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah faces west from Palm West Beach, looking straight across the Arabian Gulf to Ain Dubai and the Marina skyline, and the view is the same from the sand, the pool and most of the balconies. Opened in 2022, it sits close to the entrance of Palm Jumeirah, around 25 to 35 minutes from Dubai International Airport, with the mainland and its golf courses within easy reach.

This is a large, modern hotel with plenty going on. Every room has a balcony, and Executive Rooms include lounge access with breakfast and evening drinks. Days centre on the private beach and the 65-metre pool, with the eforea spa and a kids’ club for non-golfers in the group. There are ten restaurants and bars on site, from ribs at Claw BBQ and cocktails at Trader Vic’s to sunset drinks at Barfly by Buddha-Bar on the 13th floor.

Guests regularly praise the staff, which isn’t a given at a hotel of this size. It is not a quiet retreat, though. Palm West Beach is a lively stretch and the hotel stays busy for most of the year. For golf, Dubai Hills Golf Club, Montgomerie Golf Club Dubai, The Els Club and Arabian Ranches Golf Club are all a drive from the Palm. An early tee time avoids the worst of the Dubai traffic and leaves the afternoon free for the beach.

Key Information

This is a lively beachfront hotel where most of the day happens outdoors. Rooms are bright and modern, each with a balcony looking over the Gulf and Marina skyline or back across the Palm, and Executive Rooms come with a quieter lounge for breakfast and evening drinks. The pool and private beach are the busiest spots, and with ten restaurants and bars on site there is no shortage of options after a round.

The hotel is large, so arrivals can take a little longer at peak times, although the staff are friendly and quick to help. Golfers do best with early tee times, which avoid the heaviest traffic and leave the afternoon free for the beach. Evenings are sociable, with Palm West Beach’s bars and restaurants on the doorstep. It suits groups, couples and golfers travelling with family or non-golfing friends more than anyone after a quiet, course-side stay.
