The Heritage Hotel feels more like a boutique than a big city hotel, and guests rate it at around 9 out of 10, with location scoring highest. Staff are described as courteous and quick to help, and room service is fast. Rooms are finished in warm sand tones with Arabic touches, and face either the pool or the Burj Khalifa. At 32 square metres, the Deluxe Rooms work well for two golfers sharing, with twin or king beds, while the Premier Suites give a bit more room at 48 square metres for anyone with extra kit.
Once the golf’s done, most guests head for the pool. It’s compact and closes at 7pm, but it’s kept cool, has cabanas, and the skyline view is hard to beat. Evenings can start at Nezesaussi Grill for a drink and whatever sport is on, or at The Courtyard for an Arabic dinner under the arches. The hotel also connects straight into Souk Al Manzil, and Dubai Mall and the Fountain are around six minutes’ walk. It’s a good fit for golfers who want character and a central base. There’s no full spa and the pool won’t suit a late swim, so it’s less suited to anyone wanting resort-style facilities.

Good Communication
For the second year they have booked our trip to Portugal. Excellent communication from them throughout the booking process. With course bookings getting booked earlier they managed to get courses we requested with good tee times. One of the team members was off on holiday for a few days but in his absence his colleague supported well.

Why Stay at The Heritage Hotel, Autograph Collection?
Plenty of Downtown hotels offer a Burj Khalifa view. Fewer have any real sense of place, and that’s where The Heritage Hotel stands apart. The arches, courtyards and Arabic detailing give it a character that the newer towers nearby lack, while the rooms and service are firmly modern.
The location is the other big draw, and guests rate it higher than anything else about the hotel. Dubai Mall, the Dubai Fountain and Souk Al Bahar are all within a short walk, the trolley stops outside, and the hotel connects straight into Souk Al Manzil. After a day on the course, there’s no need for taxis to find dinner or a drink.
It also suits golf groups well. Nezesaussi Grill is the kind of place a group can settle into for an evening, with sport on the screens and food that doesn’t take itself too seriously, while The Courtyard is the pick for a quieter Arabic dinner. With the main championship courses an easy drive away, the days stay focused on the golf.
There are a few things worth knowing. The pool is on the small side and closes at 7pm, so it’s for an afternoon dip and a lounger rather than a late swim. There’s no full spa on site. Standard rooms are comfortable but not oversized, and anyone travelling with plenty of luggage may prefer a suite. A couple of guests have also noted that the breakfast spread is less varied than it once was.
