Hotel Boulevard sits on the main boulevard of Downtown Dubai, a low-rise Autograph Collection hotel in a district of glass towers. It has 156 rooms over six floors, set around a garden courtyard and pool, with clean, contemporary interiors. Rooms start at 32 square metres in the Deluxe category and go up to a two-bedroom suite that sleeps six, which works well for a group sharing. The Dubai Fountain and Dubai Mall are about ten minutes on foot, with the Burj Khalifa a little further.

For golf, Dubai Hills, Emirates Golf Club, Dubai Creek and Jumeirah Golf Estates are all reachable by car, so it’s easy to play a different championship course each day. Back at the hotel, there’s an all-day restaurant, a lobby lounge and a poolside bar with cabanas that comes into its own in the evening, plus a fitness centre, though no full spa. Breakfast is well reviewed, and Downtown has dozens of restaurants on foot for dinner by the fountains.

For golf, the location works well. Dubai Hills, Emirates Golf Club, Dubai Creek and Jumeirah Golf Estates are all reachable by car, so it’s easy to play a different championship course each day and still be back in Downtown for dinner by the fountains.

Hotel Boulevard is a smaller, more personal stay than most of Downtown, with 156 rooms over six floors and guest scores of around 9 out of 10. Staff and cleanliness get the best ratings. Rooms are clean and contemporary, finished in whites and neutrals, and look out over either the courtyard pool or the Burj Khalifa skyline. Deluxe Rooms are 32 square metres, comfortable for two but not generous, so groups with clubs and a week’s luggage may want a suite, which starts at 64 square metres.

After a morning on the course, the courtyard is the place to head. The pool is small, with cabanas around it, friendly staff and a bar that picks up in the evening, and there’s a fitness centre for anyone with energy left. The all-day restaurant and lobby lounge cover breakfast and lighter meals, but the real draw is outside, with the Dubai Fountain, Dubai Mall and the restaurants at Souk Al Bahar all within ten minutes on foot. It suits golfers who want a calm base and an easy night out in the city. There’s no full spa and the pool isn’t built for laps, so it’s less suited to anyone after resort-style facilities.

Why Stay at the Hotel Boulevard, Autograph Collection?

Most Downtown hotels are big, tall and busy. Hotel Boulevard goes the other way. With 156 rooms over six floors, it feels closer to a boutique hotel than a city tower, and that’s a big part of why guests rate it so highly. Staff get to know faces, the courtyard pool is quiet, and the scale makes it easy to settle in.

The location is the other half of it. A golf trip to Dubai usually means a mix of serious golf by day and good food by night. Here, the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain, Dubai Mall and Souk Al Bahar are all on foot, with no taxis needed to get to dinner. The courses are within easy driving distance, so the days stay focused on the golf rather than on getting to and from it.

The pool area is a highlight in the evenings, when the courtyard turns into a relaxed bar with cabanas, a good spot for a drink and a recap of the day’s round before heading out. Breakfast also gets consistently good feedback, which helps before an early tee time.

There are a couple of things worth knowing. The pool is small, so it’s more for cooling off and lounging than swimming lengths. There’s no full spa on site, so anyone wanting treatments will need to look elsewhere in Downtown. Standard rooms are comfortable but not large, and a few guests have mentioned being approached about property sales at reception, which can feel out of place.
