The Reverence Life is currently closed for renovation and reopens in March 2027, just in time for the spring golf season. It’s a hotel that already had a loyal following, so the refresh is less about reinvention and more about bringing a well-loved base up to date.

What won’t change is the setting. The hotel sits directly opposite Playa Santa Ponsa, on Mallorca’s south-west coast, with the town centre a few minutes’ walk away. For golfers, the bigger draw is what’s around it. Golf Santa Ponsa is roughly a five-minute drive, and Golf de Andratx, Camp de Mar, Bendinat and Son Vida are all close enough to fit into a week without long days in the car.

This is an adults-only hotel for guests aged 16 and over, and the atmosphere reflects that. It’s relaxed rather than hushed. The look is modern and minimalist with a Mediterranean feel, and the whole place has a laid-back, sunny-afternoon pace.  Rather than one big block, the hotel is spread over four buildings (Life, Sky, Sunrise and Sunset), each with its own character and facilities. The upside is space. There are eight pools in all, including six outdoors with three swim-up areas and a semi-Olympic pool, plus two indoor pools in the spa. Three of them sit on the rooftops.

After a round, you’ve got a spa and wellness centre that’s free for guests, plus saunas and a gym. When it comes to food, there’s a buffet restaurant and pool bar, with half board available, though with Santa Ponsa’s restaurants on the doorstep, most guests mix it up.
