Opened in 1992, designed in the style of a Spanish mansion and totally renovated in 2013, the hotel comprises 93 rooms and suites and is situated within a 13,000-sqm Mediterranean garden. Thanks to its location next to the oldest 18hole golf course on the island, the Arabella Golf Son Vida, the hotel is a premium choice for golfers. A scheduled complimentary shuttle service takes guests to and from the golf courses. During the summer months the Sheraton Mallorca offers an extensive holiday programme and is the ideal place for a family holiday and a children’s paradise. It boasts of its very own club, pool and playground, which will keep the little ones happily occupied.

There is a vast range of further sport options to choose from, including tennis courts, a fitness pavilion with the latest power and cardio equipment and the spacious indoor and outdoor pools. Why Play at Sheraton Mallorcan Arabella Golf Hotel?

All three courses are part of the European Tour Destinations network – the only courses in the Balearics to hold that distinction – so standards are generally high. Son Muntaner in particular is well-maintained and runs a smooth operation, having won the 59Club Golden Flag for six consecutive years. Son Vida can get busy in peak season and some reviews note the course shows signs of heavy use, so expectations should be managed accordingly. A free shuttle connects the hotel to all four courses (including the shorter Son Quint Executive), which makes logistics simple.

The hotel itself is comfortable and the staff are generally friendly, though it’s worth noting that the rooms in some categories feel more four-star than five. The real draw here is the golf access and the location – close to Palma but removed from the tourist noise, with a calm, residential feel on the estate.
