Mottram Hall sits in the Cheshire countryside near Wilmslow, around 30 minutes from Manchester, but once you’re on the grounds it feels properly rural. The hotel blends a historic country house exterior with modern interiors, so you get character without it feeling dated. Golf is the main draw, with an 18-hole championship parkland course on site.
