Key Information

A New Soul for St Andrews

The Kithmore Hotel offers a clean, modern base on Scotland’s east coast, well placed for golfers looking to play some of the country’s best-known links without staying directly on a course. It’s a practical setup rather than a traditional golf resort, but that works in its favour—comfortable, well-finished rooms, a relaxed bar and restaurant, and easy access to multiple courses nearby.

Golf here is all about variety. You’re within reach of classic coastal layouts, where firm fairways, natural dunes, and shifting winds shape the challenge more than heavy rough or tree-lined holes. Courses in the area tend to reward solid ball-striking and creativity around the greens rather than brute power, making them enjoyable for a wide range of players.

Back at the hotel, things are straightforward and easy. Rooms are modern and well-sized, food is reliable without being overcomplicated, and service is friendly and efficient. It suits golfers who plan to spend most of the day on the course and want a comfortable, no-fuss place to return to in the evening.

Why Stay at The Kithmore Hotel?

For golfers, this is all about access and flexibility. You are within reach of several classic east coast links, where firm turf, coastal winds, and natural shaping define the round. Many guests enjoy playing a different course each day, then returning to a calm, no fuss base rather than a busy resort. It suits players who value proper links golf over on site facilities, and who want a comfortable place to unwind afterwards. The setup is simple, but that is part of the appeal.
