The championship course was designed by Gary Player and plays across desert terrain with the Red Sea visible from several holes. Fairways are generous, but positioning matters, miss the wrong side and the desert quickly comes into play. Greens are fast and true, and the layout offers a good balance of challenge and enjoyment for mid- to low-handicap players, without being overly punishing.
