NYX Hotel Limassol sits in the old town, a short walk from the seafront promenade, the marina and Limassol Castle. It’s a contemporary 189-room hotel – floor-to-ceiling windows, marble bathrooms, Nespresso machines as standard — built around a sea-view rooftop with a pool, terrace and a bar that turns into a proper evening spot once the sun drops. The two on-site restaurants cover most appetites: ONAR Mediterranean Bistro handles breakfast and Med/Cypriot cooking, while Mizu-Mazu does pan-Asian. Chaos Lounge Bar takes care of cocktails and tapas. The Aegeo Spa offers sauna, steam and massage if you want to undo the day.

The main draw on the golf side is Limassol Greens, a short hop from the hotel and the only championship layout actually inside a Cyprus city. Cabell Robinson – the architect behind Aphrodite Hills and Finca Cortesin – designed the par-71, 6,304-metre course around the edge of Akrotiri Salt Lake. Tahoma Bermuda fairways, Bentgrass greens, generous landing areas, and properly punishing pot bunkers. The wind shifts as you go: the opening five play into it, the middle stretch gives you scoring chances, and the closing holes ask for precise shot-making. Holes 5 and 6 sit in a wetland next to a eucalyptus forest — a clear change of character mid-round.

Add a 45-minute drive west and you’re at Aphrodite Hills, the PGA National course that hosted the European Tour in 2020. Two very different rounds, one stylish base in town.

Key Information

The hotel itself doesn’t have a course on site, which is worth knowing up front. It’s a city-centre base – design-led, lively, walking distance to bars and restaurants – rather than a self-contained resort. Service generally rates well, the breakfast spread gets a particular shout in reviews, and the rooftop pool is more for lounging than lengths.

Conditioning at Limassol Greens is, fairly, what you’d expect from a course only fully open since December 2025: greens are running nicely, fairways will keep settling in over the next couple of seasons. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern – newish clubhouse, pro shop, Trackman-equipped range. Aphrodite Hills, if you make the drive, hosted both the Cyprus Open and the Cyprus Showdown in 2020 and remains one of Europe‘s better-rated resort courses.
