The Links Course, originally designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, underwent a major redesign by Kurtis Bowman. Its wide fairways, large greens and coastal setting give it a distinctive character, with views stretching across the Mediterranean towards Gibraltar and Africa. The sea breeze adds another dimension, making club selection particularly important.

The Heathland Course, designed by Dave Thomas, provides a contrasting challenge. Set further inland, it winds through rolling hills and natural valleys, with elevation changes, lakes and strategically positioned bunkers rewarding accurate approach play.

For accommodation, the neighbouring five-star Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol offers luxury rooms, suites and villas, along with swimming pools, wellness facilities and several dining options. Golfers can also enjoy the resort’s clubhouse and Calma halfway house, overlooking the Mediterranean.

The location is another advantage. Sotogrande is just a short drive away, with its marina, restaurants and renowned golf courses, including Valderrama and La Reserva, making La Hacienda a convenient base for a longer golf trip.
