Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort sits on the western edge of Playa Blanca, a laid-back resort town at the southern tip of Lanzarote. It’s a four-star resort built like a traditional island village, with whitewashed buildings, cobbled lanes and subtropical gardens. The town centre is about 900m away, Playa Flamingo is a short walk, and a free shuttle runs to Playa Dorada.

Lanzarote Golf is the closest course, around 25 minutes away near Puerto del Carmen. It’s a par-72 Ron Kirby design laid out on a gentle slope facing the Atlantic, with wide fairways, big greens and views across to Fuerteventura. It suits most handicaps, though the wind can change how a few holes play. Costa Teguise Golf, the island’s original course, is a tougher test if you want to add a second round.

Back at the resort, most rooms are spacious Junior Suites. There are five outdoor pools, a thalasso spa, buffet and à la carte restaurants, and evening entertainment in the lobby bar. Couples and golf groups after something quieter can book the adults-only Premium Suites, with their own pool, restaurant and bar. The overall feel is relaxed and easy, a good base for a sunny golf break.
