Dundonald Links Resort is located in Ayrshire, around 40 minutes from Glasgow, in the heart of Scotland’s west coast links belt. The resort centres around a modern championship links course designed by Kyle Phillips, the architect behind Kingsbarns. The course weaves through natural dunes and sandy terrain, with wide fairways, clever bunkering and large, rolling greens that reward good strategy rather than brute strength.

Although relatively new by Scottish links standards, Dundonald has quickly built a strong reputation. The layout is firm, fast and visually impressive, with holes moving through natural dune corridors and open linksland typical of the Ayrshire coastline. Wind plays a big role, meaning the course can feel very different from one day to the next.

The resort itself is modern and comfortable. Accommodation comes in stylish lodges and rooms set around the course, making it easy to walk to the first tee, practice facilities and clubhouse. The clubhouse restaurant is a social hub, serving good Scottish produce and relaxed post-round meals, while the bar and terrace offer views across the course. Location is another strength. Dundonald sits between Troon and Irvine and is close to several famous courses including Royal Troon, Western Gailes and Prestwick, making it a convenient base for a wider Ayrshire golf trip.
