Key Information
Myrtle Beach has rightfully earned its reputation as one of the world’s great golf destinations. The Grand Strand stretches along the South Carolina coast with more than 80 public courses, ranging from Pete Dye challenges like the Barefoot Dye Course to celebrated designs by Arnold Palmer, Tom Fazio, and Mike Strantz. A short drive from the hotel sits Myrtle Beach National Golf Club – a 54-hole facility with three Arnold Palmer-designed layouts that makes an ideal anchor for any trip. King’s North is the headline act, ranked among America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses by Golf Digest, and is best known for “The Gambler” – a par-5 with an island fairway that offers a genuine risk-reward shortcut – and the par-3 12th with its iconic island green. The West Course and SouthCreek offer different but equally worthwhile rounds, and between the three you could build a full trip without leaving the property. Beyond MBN, Caledonia, TPC Myrtle Beach, Tidewater, True Blue, and the Grande Dunes Resort Club are all within easy reach.
Broadway at the Beach is just a short walk away – a large entertainment complex with restaurants, bars, and attractions if you want something to do between rounds. The beach is around a mile from the hotel, and Myrtle Beach International Airport is less than 5 miles away, making it one of the easiest arrivals of any golf trip you’ll take. Free parking on site is a genuine bonus.

The Courtyard by Marriott Broadway is your practical, no-fuss base for all of it. It’s not a resort destination in itself, but it’s well-placed, reasonably priced, and does the job well. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and select rooms offering balconies. The Bistro handles breakfast and dinner on-site – it’s a cut above typical hotel food, with an in-house kitchen and a full Starbucks coffee setup to get you going in the morning. There’s also an outdoor pool and a 24-hour gym for when the legs need a rest.

There are no courses on the hotel’s doorstep – you’ll need a car to reach the golf, but most of the top courses are within 20–30 minutes by car, and hire cars are readily available from the airport. The hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy programme, so members can benefit from points and rewards. The Bistro gets consistently good reviews for value and quality, which is worth knowing if you’re not planning to venture out every evening. Service throughout is friendly and efficient. The real draw here is Myrtle Beach itself – the sheer volume and variety of courses available in the area means you could play a different layout every day for a week and not run short of quality options. It suits golfers who want a lively, sociable base in a great golf region rather than an isolated resort experience.
