La Sultana Marrakech is very different from the typical golf resort. Set within the historic Medina, it’s made up of a collection of beautifully restored riads, with courtyards, rooftop terraces, and traditional Moroccan detailing throughout. It feels private and boutique rather than large-scale, which is part of the appeal—especially after a day out on the courses.

There’s no golf on-site, but that’s standard for Marrakech. Instead, you’re a 15–25 minute transfer from several of the city’s best layouts. Assoufid Golf Club is often the standout, offering a more natural, desert-style course with Atlas Mountain views, while Royal Golf Marrakech provides a more traditional, tree-lined test. Samanah Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus design, is typically the most demanding, with wide fairways but tricky approaches and well-placed hazards.

Back at the hotel, the focus shifts to comfort and atmosphere. Rooms are individually styled, with plenty of space and character. There’s a rooftop pool, a well-regarded spa, and dining that leans into Moroccan flavours with a refined edge. It’s quieter and more personal than most resort options, which suits couples or smaller groups.
