10 Best Golf Trick Shots
A trick shot is any golf shot that requires a high level of skill and precision to make a hole-in-one, often seeming impossible to the novice golfer. We’ve compiled some of our favourite trick shots, from entertaining quarantine games to impressive professional hole-in-ones, here’s our list of the best golf trick shots.
David Edwards’ tees off Ally McCoist’s face
David Edwards is a brand ambassador of Golf Travel Group and, as many of you may know, is a former European PGA tour player, World Record Holder for trick shots and host to ‘David Edwards’ International Trick Golf Show’ – performing in over 50 countries. It’s safe to say Edwards has had his fair share of noteworthy trick shots throughout the years however, if we had to choose one it would be from his day at The Carrick. Donning his signature flamboyant trousers, Edwards mastered a risky shot off Rangers FC’s Ally McCoist’s face at the Scottish Legends Football Charity Golf Day. A great shot for an even greater cause!
Ally McCoist you brave man! 😂🙈#TheScottishLegendsGolfDay 🏴⛳️⚽️🏆

Craig Stadler’s miracle hole-in-one
Best known for his win at the 1982 Masters, Craig Stadler is a long-standing golf legend, yet 2021 marks his greatest trick shot of all time. Participating in a charity event, Stadler was asked to hit the driver on a 169-yard, downhill par 3. Despite the odds being stacked against him, Stadler surprised us all with an astounding hole-in-one – luck or skill? An incredible achievement nonetheless.

Tania Tare’s balancing ball shot
We endured quarantine for a large part of 2021 and some of us took this as an opportunity to brush up on our trick shots. Pro-golfer and trick shot artist, taniatare63 (307k followers), aka Tania Tare, wowed us with her DIY home trick shots. One of our personal favourites is Tanias’ balancing act. Balancing on a fitness ball in her living room, Tania skilfully shoots a golf ball into a red cup. If you think you’ve got what it takes, this might be one to try out with your friends.
