What To Wear To The Masters

Augusta in April can produce some very different weather conditions. From highs of 27 degrees to lows of 10 degrees, it can be unpredictable and hard to dress for. It’s therefore vital that you keep an eye on the weather forecast and pack for all occasions. Check out our golf trip packing checklist if you need more advice about packing for your golf holiday.

You’ll most likely need sun cream, sunglasses and a hat if the weather is good but you’ll also want to bring your wet weather gear if it’s likely to rain.

As for what to wear to the Masters, the best advice we can give you is to dress as though you’re actually participating in the tournament. The general rules of private members’ golf club attire are a good basis for planning what to wear so avoid jeans and ladies, avoid short dresses and skirts.

As a spectator, it’s likely that you will be walking a great deal and therefore on your feet for most of the day. Comfort is key so choose sturdy shoes but you won’t be able to wear golf shoes that have metal spikes.
