Across the 128 rooms, you will be able to enjoy a truly luxurious stay, with ultimate comfort. There are several rooms to choose from and depending on your package, you will be able to overlook the opposing marine and beyond that, the beautiful Mediterranean ocean. However, all rooms are equipped with the typical amenities such as air conditioning for the warm evenings, a safe for your valued possessions and even 24-hour room service for any drinks, food or essential toiletries.

Of course, away from the rooms, there are a fantastic variety of options available when it comes to dining and socialising. The hotel's buffet restaurant caters for every guest and occasion but specialises in local Mediterranean cuisine and on the impressive Terrace La Mar, you can get a taste for some mouth-watering tapas and refreshing, exotic cocktails. By night, the Terrace boasts versatility as the cocktails become stronger, the music gets louder and the palm trees create an exciting party atmosphere that is family-friendly.

If after a long day on the beach, on the course or in the city you wish to relax, then you'll be in the right place. Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel has an internal spa, the Don Juan Spa where you can spend hours experiencing even more spectacular views of the Mediterranean and Poniente Bay. On the 6th floor, the spa treatment presents a truly harmonious area where you can relax with a thermal circuit including baths, saunas, massages and other treatments accompanied by champagne and chocolates.

Aguilon Golf Club

The 6,150-yard, par-70 Aguilon course is one of the most recent additions to the Spanish golfing scene. The Sierra Aguilon mountains, which overlook this scenic golf course, and its many ravines make Aguilon Golf Club truly spectacular and something far out of the ordinary.

Aguilon also has more than one hundred bunkers and six big lakes and a number of natural ravines, which together make playing the golf course an unforgettable experience.

The Aguilon course is made up of three par-5 holes, five par-3 holes and ten par-4s, and they are set dramatically against the Mountains with breathtaking views of Pulpí Bay to be enjoyed too.

This eye-catching and challenging design, incorporating unique golf holes that players of all level are sure to remember, makes Aguilon one of the best new courses in the country.

Desert Springs Resort

The fairways are wide and the undulating greens are extremely large, but all are maintained to an immaculate standard. In keeping with Desert Springs' influences, the course is littered with cactus, rocks and dry river beds which present considerable obstacles. The beautiful contrasts of colours and shapes that the landscape offers make for an amazing backdrop which is perfectly complemented by the course itself.

The design and construction of Desert Springs was in accordance with USGA specifications throughout, and the continued development of the course's reputation has seen it recognised by a number of awards; in addition to countless national and international tournaments, the English Golf Union, the Welsh Ladies Golf Union and the Royal Spanish Golf Federation choose the resort as the base for practice and competition.

Given that a number of prestigious golf union's use Desert Springs as a winter base, it should come as no surprise that the resort has an outstanding practice facility, where you can hone your skills or benefit from expert tuition.

Alhama Signature Golf Course

As the only Nicklaus Signature Course in Murcia, Alhama benefits greatly from annual checkups from the Golden Bear himself where he casts his expert eyes over green speeds, bunker composition and general course conditioning to ensure the highest possible standards can be enjoyed by visiting golfers.

With excellent conditioning assured and sunny skies almost guaranteed all that is left is the layout of the course itself and Nicklaus’ design does not disappoint.

Generous fairways place little pressure on the golfer from the tee – the perfect excuse to go for it with the driver – but hit a sufficiently errant shot and you will certainly be punished; the rough might not be deep but the native grasses are lush and thick, making excavating your ball a tough task. For the better player, hitting the correct portion of the fairway is vital; doglegs and gently curving holes can result in mich longer approaches if you miss on the wrong side.

Like any classic Nicklaus design, from the tee shot onwards, the course demands much more from the golfer. Green complexes are well-protected by deep bunkers and expansive water hazards and even when safely on the green in regulation, two putting is no mean feat. Nicklaus has made sure severe undulations demand full concentration from each and every golfer with the putter in hand.

Measuring a little over 7,500 yards from the tips, Alhama can certainly test the accomplished golfer but with multiple teeing positions on each and every hole, golfers of all shapes and sizes can take the Nicklaus test.
