Set in the heart of North Cornwall in 230 acres of rolling hills and woodland, designated an area of Special Landscape Value, the Bowood Park Hotel & Golf Club in Cornwall once formed part of a 13th century deer park owned by the Black Prince.

The surrounding area abounds in attractions, both natural and man-made. You can visit National Trust coastline and gardens, browse through characterful fishing villages such as Padstow or Port Isaac where Doc Martin is filmed, sample watersports at Rock, cycle the Camel Trail or explore King Arthur's Castle at Tintagel and the Eden Project at St Austell, all within easy reach. They can also arrange activities such as fishing, horse-riding and shooting or a visit to any of the other Cornwall golf courses.

Overlooking the championship golf course, this hotel has an award-winning restaurant, free Wi-Fi and free parking. The charming villages of Tintagel, Port Isaac and Boscastle are 15 minutes’ drive away. In the 13th century, Bowood Park was part of the Black Prince’s deer park. It is still set amid 230 acres of picturesque hills and woodland.

The hotel has modern décor and luxurious fittings throughout. Each room has an en suite bathroom, a TV, and facilities for making tea and coffee. Guests can dine in the hotel’s restaurant, which offers British and international dishes, including local seafood. Cornish cream teas and a Sunday carvery are also available.

The Bowood Park Golf Club has a course which meets USGA standards and is open all year round. Golf clubs and buggies are available for hire on site. The North Cornwall coast, with its surfing beaches and fishing villages, is 15 minutes' drive away.

The par 72 course runs to 6,692 yards for the men, 5,700 for the ladies and is set up in a way which should maximise enjoyment for all standards of golfer - you shouldn't have to spend your holiday looking for lost balls! The well-drained greens, built to USGA standards, means the course rarely closes in inclement weather, and in winter tees and greens are in full use - no temporaries. A ten bay covered driving range, large putting green and a chipping green complete the picture. A fleet of 20 electric buggies lay at your disposal.
